A tribute to the Duke of Wellington and his victory at the Battle of Waterloo, the iconic Wellington Monument stands on the northern escarpment of the energetically powerful Blackdown Hills, and is a place where energy lines come together in a node point and vortex. There are also several portals and Beacon Trees in the nearby woods, as well as other interesting energy configurations.  This part of the North escarpment is home to a landscape dragon and is also a literal watershed.

Water that fell 30 years ago on the hills of South Wales makes its way under the Bristol Channel to re-emerge through the many springs in the Blackdowns.  Here, not far from the Monument, is where water energy flows both southwards to the English Channel and also northwards to the Bristol Channel and thence on to the Irish Sea.  The places where water does this are always interesting.  The dragon, then, stands at this threshold of the two waters with foot on either spring.

A Ceremony to Honour and Love the Land -  By feeding the land and its energy with gratitude, appreciation and above all love, we strengthen not only its vitality and ability to cope with the stresses that we humans put on it, but also our own wellbeing and connection to nature and the Earth.

Roberta's thought is that not only will we be dowsing the energies around the Wellington Monument, but that we can also dowse the strength and vitality of the energies before and then after the Ceremony.
